Around 100 members of Switzerland's Tibetan community held a protest in front of United Nations (UN) headquarters on Tuesday against the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping.<br />Protesters said there were no human rights in Tibet and called on the UN to "speak out" on the Tibet issue.<br />Tibet has been a source of controversy ever since Beijing sent troops to occupy the Himalayan region following the 1949 communist revolution.<br />It says the region has been part of Chinese territory for centuries, while many Tibetans say it has a long history of independence under a series of Buddhist leaders.<br />Xi kicked off a four-day visit to Switzerland on Sunday, the first this century by a Chinese leader.<br />The visit includes stops to UN institutions in Geneva, the International Olympic Committee headquarters in Lausanne, and the World Economic Forum in Davos.<br /><br />Video: AP<br />Music: Big Bang Fuzz
